Down time? Just a little.

I feel like all I have done in the past few months is mix bottles of polish.  Glitter has been my life.  And I might need a break.  LOL.

I'M NOT QUITTING!  Haha.  I am just going to be working on something else for most of the daylights hours.  Something that I have been putting off since the fall, due to the weather being icky during the winter.

We bought a new table and bench combo for our kitchen, my workspace, back in the fall.  It's going to be so great in that space and it will replace a table that is older than most of the fans that follow this blog.  :)

One thing... it's totally not ready for wear and tear.  I have to sand down each piece.  Then stain, poly, sand and stain and poly again.  Right now, it looks like this:

It's in pieces.  The corner bench alone is almost 20 pieces and then add in the table and trestle bench.  Ick.  LOL.

I don't mind, really.  It will look so good when done and I know how to do it.  (It's better than paying a place down the street over 200 bucks to do it.)  I stained so many pieces of wood last year when we did some work on the house and I stained and sanded Button's bed that my husband built for her.

Button's bed:

My husband built the bed from scratch last fall and I did all of the staining and sanding.  It was a lot of work but so worth it.

So, instead of constantly having me head bent down over glitter and lacquer, i will have my head bent down over stain and poly.  LOL.  My hands will take a beating.  They'll end up thrashed like last year.  That may mean I'll need bloggers for swatches even more now.  :)

I will still be available if anyone has a question and I will still be online at night.  If orders come in, they will still get shipped as quickly as in the past.  No worries.  I won't be totally MIA.  I just want my table done!!!

Look for a few new beauties in the next couple of weeks.  And remember, the first polishes that were released in March are on their way to retirement.
