We have been CRAZY busy. On August 20, we left for our family vacation. Until two days before that, the kids thought we were spending 2 solid weeks in TN visiting my family. And they were more than excited. But then we told them, with props, that we were going to DISNEY WORLD first and they freaked out. LOL.
We made it to Disney on the 22nd and we were there for a week. It was HOT, being that we were in Central Florida. The last two times I went to Disney, it was during Christmas and the crowds were astounding. I don't recommend it if you don't like lines, pushy people, and screaming kids.
But the last week of August? WONDERFUL. No crowds, the lines were short... is was great.
We ate with Cinderella and her princess friends, met Mickey, met Pooh (my favorite), saw fireworks, and had an absolute blast.
For the last part of the trip, we stayed in my hometown with my mom and spent time with my family. The kids loved the TN Aquarium and being around my twin nieces and sister.
We started to head back to MN on the Sunday before Labor Day. When we finally got home on the 3rd, we were all wanting our own beds. We stayed in so many hotels and were in the car A LOT in those two weeks.
This week, we have been getting the kids adjusted to getting back to school and getting our garage finished before the weather spins downward and the snow shows up. It's been crazy and involved a lot of laundry. :)
And tonight, my beloved Georgia Bulldogs went to Missouri and answered the trash talk of the week. An unwise player from Mizzou said some things that he shouldn't have and UGA showed up to answer those remarks. I still don't get why that guy was BASHING the SEC when his school is now IN the SEC. Seriously, dude? Not a good start. You managed to infuriate most of the SEC fans, even those that hate the Dawgs. :)
Anwaysssssssssssssss, I haven't been able to even THINK about the shop and polish in about 3 weeks. I hope to get the shop open again sometime next week.
I take that back, sort of. I DID get to think about polish. I actually got to paint my nails (all 10 of them! Not just skittles testing colors!) and do a little art! It was great. I have a few pics that I will upload sometime.
When I get close to opening up again, I will update here and on FB.
Until then, I hope everyone is having great weather like we are right now. It may not last, since Old Man Winter LOVES to come earlier every year.
And, Goooooooooooooooooooo DAWGS!
